We are now visiting with a woman studying cultural psychology in the continent of Africa, more specifically along the coastline of the English-speaking country of Ghana. Her name is Wrane Soule and she is studying abroad at the University of Ghana. Ghana was the first African country to gain independence sixty-one years ago. It is a peaceful country striving to become self-sufficient. Wrane says she believes the people of Ghana are very progressive and plan to move forward in a diligent and congenial manner, despite their traditional religious and educational tendencies. She claims that Ghana's biggest hurdle is it's infrastructure and lack of diversity. Wrane misses her family and children, but the small access to internet helps best it can. Ghana is known for it's culture in music and the arts. |
